Be SmartBoard Savvy!
Throughout this course so far, we have learned just how pertinent technology can be in the classrooms. The integration of SmartBoards in the classrooms in Mobile, AL has been a great tool to incorporate technology in many ways. As an observing student teacher this semester for a sixth grade mathematics class, I have seen the SmartBoard integrated by playing interactive games. Our math students' faces light up when they hear that we are going to play a game. I would like for you to add to this discussion by contributing interactive games that students can play in the classroom on the SmartBoard. For example, for added practice on adding fractions, our students played the Fruit Shoot game on the SmartBoard allowing them to work out the problems individually and then come up to the board and click on the moving fruit with the correct answer on it. Here is the link for that game:
Please add your own comments with links including the description and how the game would be played to help students learn interactively with technology.
Thanks!
